Review : Need to give your system a little kick?
After eight years of faithful service my Infinity Basslink quit working. Upon powering up it would blow its fuse. Apparently from the reviews I've subsequently read this is a common problem. I took the amp apart in search of a visible fix but no avail. Since I do not have an electrical engineering degree I decided to look into something else. The closest thing I could find without going the Basslink route (more on why later) was this sub by MTX.

Hooking it up was a breeze as I already had the wiring from the old sub present. Aside from re-drilling new mounting holes I was up and running in 45 minutes.

So how does it sound? Not bad at all! Playing the same song and switching the sub on and off you can hear a discernible difference. It does a good job of filling in the low end and I can now once again also FEEL the bass while hearing it. The other day I had the radio on while washing the car.
