Marine Design
Subwoofers have often been disregarded for marine applications, but finally, MTX has created the full audio experience for boating. They are designed to accomodate infinite baffle installations which are common in boats. This means they don't need an enclosure to provide deep, hard-hitting bass. And with max power at 600 watts, the lake never sounded so good.
Corrosion Prevention
Water, salt, and electronics don't mix. Thunder marine subwoofers have gold-plated terminals and stainless steel hardware for increased current flow and connectivity, and corrosion resistance.
Weather Resistant
Silicone insulated tinsel lead connections and polypropylene cones are weather resistant. ABS plastic protects the electrical components and magnet on the back of the subwoofer from salt and fresh water spray.
Grilles
The grilles are one of the most important parts of a marine speaker, not just because they're the part you see, but they're the part exposed to additional hazards. Thunder marine grilles are an attractive, glossy white, and are removable for easy installation. They are made from a Centrex ASA plastic known for its toughness. They are also impact resistant, for the inevitable bumps and clunks during boating. They are also paintable, and UV resistant, even after extended exposure to the sun's rays.
